Description

Arisaka "School Pattern" instructional rifle. These are blank and light wooden bullet firing rifles intended for instruction of youths and should NEVER be loaded with 6.5 Arisaka ammunition. Rile has a blued metal finish with polished bolt and one-piece laminated wood semi-pistol grip stock. Barrel is smooth bore. Single-shot training gun.. Top of receiver shows normal school gun markings. Bolt handle marked "A/623." Both sling swivels have been removed and item is missing cleaning rod, barrel band, and upper handguard.

Again, Japanese School Guns must never be fired under any circumstances.

Condition is fair. Bore is dark with patina throughout (although it isn't really much a concern in this stance.) Metal finish dominated by a brown patina with some thinned finish to forward barrel with oxidation overall. Rear sight markings are weak and show signs of previous oxidation that was cleaned. Stock is worn with chips and mars overall and both sling swivels missing. Rear plate shows stripping to screw holes while a hole is left to forward handguard where bayonet lug brace was.

Again, Japanese School Guns must never be fired under any circumstances - but make for excellent wall hangers!
